Sanremo 2026: Early Rumors About the Lineup
Carlo Conti will reveal the artists competing in the next Sanremo Festival (February 24-28, 2026) on the 1:30 p.m. television news, likely on November 23rd or 30th. As always, speculation is running high about who’ll be performing, with many more names floating around than there are available spots. It’s a tough job for the artistic director, who continues to receive proposals right up to the last minute.
California, formerly one half of the duo Coma_Cose, is a prominent name being discussed. She’s reportedly hoping to try her luck as a solo artist after her split from Fausto Lama. They always did well together at the Ariston Theater. Looking at veteran artists, Patty Pravo might also be in the running.
Angelina Mango, who recently released an album digitally – perhaps hinting at a physical release in February – could return after her 2024 win, having found renewed motivation. Levante, Arisa, and Malika Ayane are also said to have submitted proposals to Conti, as did serena Brancale, following her positive experience last year. Sarah Toscano, who competed last year, is another possibility.
It might very well be the first time performing as a major artist at the festival for Emma Nolde and Neapolitan singer-songwriter La Nina.Fans are also hoping to see Emma, Madame, Francesca Michielin, Anna Tatangelo, and Amara take the stage. Elodie’s participation seems less certain.
Rap music, which has gained significant traction in recent years, will definitely be represented.
