Oilers in Trouble as McDavid Heads to IR After Early Injury
The Edmonton Oilers are facing a daunting challenge after Connor McDavid, their star forward, was forced to leave Monday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets just seconds after the puck drop due to an injury. Just 37 seconds into the first period, McDavid went down after being tripped in the boards, limping to the bench before eventually walking off to the dressing room. He then boarded a flight back to Edmonton, while the rest of the team remained on the road for the remainder of their tour.
A Troubling Start for the Oilers
