Soldeu, Andorra – Germany’s Emma Aicher secured a commanding victory in the women’s Super-G race held in Soldeu, Andorra, on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Aicher finished 0.88 seconds ahead of New Zealand’s Alice Robinson, with Switzerland’s Corinne Suter rounding out the podium in third, 0.98 seconds back.

Aicher’s Commanding Performance

Aicher, 22, demonstrated her prowess on the Aliga course, finishing in a time of 1:26.72 – the only racer to complete the course in under 1:27. This marks her fifth career World Cup win and her third in the Super-G discipline. She previously won the Downhill event in St. Moritz in December and the Super-G in Tarvisio in January. Aicher has also achieved three third-place finishes in Slalom events this season, in Levi, Courchevel, and Spindleruv Mlyn.

Race Recap

Corinne Suter, fresh off a Downhill win the previous day, set an early benchmark of 1:27.70. Alice Robinson then challenged Suter’s time, finishing 0.10 seconds faster. Aicher ultimately surpassed both, establishing a significant lead. Sofia Goggia, the current Super-G standings leader, struggled to find her rhythm and finished sixth.

Impact on World Cup Standings

With this victory, Aicher has climbed to third place in the Super-G standings with 224 points. Sofia Goggia leads with 320 points, followed by Alice Robinson with 300 points. Aicher is now 96 points behind Goggia. Aicher has also made progress in the Overall standings, trailing Mikaela Shiffrin by 299 points and Camile Rast by 129 points.

Four speed races are scheduled over the next eight days, before the USA and Swiss skiers are expected to return to competition.
