There are 200 days left until Paris celebrates the Olympic Games this summer and the French president, Emmanuel Macron, has decided to promote the event this Monday on social networks. He does it in a sports shirt, with a sweaty look and boxing gloves in his hand. In a video published on Instagram he recalled the importance of this sporting event and asked the French to do sports for at least 30 minutes a day.
“Hello everyone, from the gym. There are 200 days left until the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. We are going to host in France the most decarbonized Games in History, we are going to host some equal games, there will be delegations of exceptional sports and with many medals French, I hope…”, highlights the French president in the aforementioned video.
In this one he appears wearing a T-shirt from the French Boxing Federation, with a bag behind him and gloves in his hand, as if he had just trained. It is not the first time that he boasts about his sports practice. During the 2022 presidential election campaign, he already put on his gloves during a visit to Saint Denison the Parisian outskirts, to exchange hooks with some residents of this popular neighborhood.
The president recalled that the countdown to the sporting event “starts now” and “that is why we have a great national cause, which is sport (…) I invite you all to do at least 30 minutes of sport a day, more You can, but at least 30, because it is good for your health and for many things,” he says.
This video is published amid strong rumors of a possible change of Government at the beginning of this week, possibly this Monday. Since the weekend there has been talk of imminent changes within the team led by Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, which could include her departure.
