OFFER TO EMRE BELÖZOĞLU

Reports initially indicated that Eyüpspor had approached Emre Belözoğlu, recently departed from Antalyaspor, with a contract offer. However, the club ultimately pursued a different direction.

OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED

Eyüpspor reached an agreement with Orhan Ak, formerly the coach of Fatih Karagümrük. Ak has signed a three-year contract with the Istanbul-based club.

The signing ceremony took place at Eyüpspor’s facilities in Kemerburgaz, with club vice president Fatih Kulaksız and Orhan Ak in attendance.

Kulaksız stated that the club reached an agreement with Ak that aligned with their vision. He emphasized the shared understanding of the club’s philosophy, values, and approach to the game.

Kulaksız explained that president Murat Özkaya specifically requested a meeting with orhan Ak, even while pursuing foreign candidates. he expressed excitement after the meeting, highlighting Ak’s experience as a player, his academic training as a coach, and his eight years as an assistant coach and two years as a technical director. He also praised Ak’s work at Fatih Karagümrük.

Kulaksız acknowledged that Selçuk Şahin’s departure did not indicate a lack of quality in his coaching,stating,”Not every flower blooms in every garden.” He was impressed by Ak’s knowledge and experience and believes the club made the best decision. He drew a parallel to the previous appointment of Arda Turan,which also faced initial criticism but ultimately proved triumphant.
