According to police, a preliminary investigation showed the stabbing stemmed from an ongoing neighbor dispute that escalated into a violent altercation outside the main entrance of the Regency Hills Condominiums building, where all three women resided.
Charges Filed
Following a lengthy investigation, three arrest warrants were issued. The charges against each woman are as follows:
- Sonia Davila, 35: Charged with first-degree assault, third-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, risk of injury to a minor, and second-degree breach of peace. She turned herself in and was held on a $250,000 bond.
- Yaritza Rey, 32: Charged with criminal attempt at first-degree assault, second-degree assault, carrying a dangerous weapon, first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree threatening, risk of injury to a minor, and second-degree breach of peace. She turned herself in and was held on a $150,000 bond.
- Yamiles Garcia, 30: Charged with criminal attempt at second-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. She turned herself in and was held on a $50,000 bond.
