Esther Cobbah Champions Trust and Excellence for Female Entrepreneurs

Accra, Ghana – March 1, 2026 – Esther A. N. Cobbah, Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Communications Africa Ltd (Stratcomm Africa), has urged female entrepreneurs to prioritize building brand presence and trust as the cornerstones of sustainable business success. Her remarks came during the Africa Women’s Entrepreneurship & Business Innovation Programme 2026, hosted by the Africa Women’s Leadership Academy in Accra.

The Importance of Credibility, Relevance, and Excellence

Cobbah emphasized that credibility, relevance, and excellence are the “true currencies of leadership” for women in business. She challenged participants to deeply understand themselves – their strengths, weaknesses, and values – as well as the needs of their stakeholders and the broader contexts in which they operate.

“You cannot determine your relevance from your perspective alone. Your enterprise must solve problems that matter to others, not just one that only excites you,” Cobbah stated, highlighting the need for businesses to address genuine market needs.

Building Brand Trust Through Consistent Performance

A central theme of Cobbah’s address was the critical role of brand trust. She explained that trust is not built overnight, but through sustained excellence and ethical conduct. This includes consistently delivering on brand promises and ensuring alignment between a company’s internal actions and its external messaging.

Cobbah also stressed the importance of proactive crisis preparedness. Entrepreneurs should anticipate potential challenges and develop strategies to navigate them effectively, all whereas upholding their integrity. “Your reputation is shaped not only by what you achieve, but also by how you behave in crises,” she noted.

Sustainable Growth and Strong Systems

Beyond trust, Cobbah advised women founders to avoid seeking shortcuts and instead focus on steady, sustainable growth. She advocated for building strong systems and assembling capable teams, emphasizing that robust institutions are more enduring than individuals.

“As your business grows, you must renew your thinking, your skills, and your capacity to develop others,” Cobbah advised, underscoring the need for continuous learning and leadership development.

Stratcomm Africa and Women’s Entrepreneurship

The Africa Women’s Entrepreneurship & Business Innovation Programme 2026 brought together nearly 200 women entrepreneurs, business leaders, and professionals from diverse sectors to explore strategies for growth, leadership, and innovation. The event’s theme, “The Woman Founder – Brand Presence, Perception and Trust as a Skill,” reflects the growing recognition of these factors as essential for success in the African business landscape.

Ms. Cobbah also celebrated 30 years of Stratcomm Africa with inspiring Women S.H.A.R.E anniversary event, featuring dynamic panel discussion with prominent women entrepreneurs, including Ms Audrey Selormey, Founder and CEO of Buka Restaurant; and Ms. Linda Yaa Ampah, Founder and CEO of Cadling Fashions & KAD Manufacturing.
