Jay Sulis Yaneth Andrade Perez, a 35-year-old from Colombia, was found dead in a residence in Ringerike on Monday, October 26, 2026, Nettavisen reported. A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and later charged with murder, having admitted to the killing and cooperated with investigators.
The victim had arrived in Norway at the beginning of September to stay with the suspect, with whom she shared a romantic relationship. Family Struggles to Fund Repatriation
The victim leaves behind a 16-year-old daughter and nine siblings in Colombia who are desperate to bring her body home for a Catholic burial. Bistandsadvokat Skjalg Jarnang told of an unbearable situation for the daughter and the woman’s nine siblings.
25,000 Norwegian kroner has been earmarked for the home transport, funds that Jarnang is passing on. To cover the remaining expenses, an online fundraising campaign was launched on Spleis, raising over 210,000 kroner from private donors in less than a day.
