Federico Grassi, Veteran Italian actor, Dies at 63

Federico Grassi, a distinguished actor of both stage and screen, has died at the age of 63, just days after celebrating his birthday. Born in Busto Arsizio, Varese, Grassi leaves behind a legacy forged through decades of dedication to the performing arts.

Grassi co-founded the Anacoleti workshop, a prominent theater association in his hometown, and received his foundational training at the esteemed theater workshop led by Vittorio Gassman. He launched his professional career in 1983, debuting alongside Gassman and Anna Maria Guarnieri in a Verona production of Macbeth.

Throughout his career, Grassi participated in numerous acclaimed productions, performing in leading theaters across Italy. He remained connected to his roots, frequently returning to perform at the social theater, Cajelli, in Busto Arsizio. His contributions to Italian theater will be deeply missed.
