The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has demanded this Saturday from the head of the acting Government, Pedro Sánchez, that he “submit to the decision of all Spaniards” his plan to approve an amnesty for the prosecuted Catalan independence leaders, which has attributed to its “convenience”, not to coexistence.
Núñez Feijóo has reacted in this way to the announcement made by Sánchez in the Federal Committee of the PSOE, where practically all of the party leaders have given him a standing ovation.
He has accompanied his message on the X network (formerly Twitter) with a video from when Sánchez showed its rejection of the amnesty and the self-determination referendum followed by today’s intervention before the highest body of the PSOE between congresses in which he supports the measure of grace.
“The only thing that has changed is that Pedro Sanchez has lost the elections. If he intends to carry out the amnesty, it should be submitted to the decision of all Spaniards and not just to the applause of the officials he himself appointed. It is not coexistence, it is coexistence,” he said. Núñez Feijóo Your message.
Sánchez has justified the amnesty in the need to finish normalizing the political situation in Catalonia and in obtaining the votes for the investiture, by depending on the support of groups such as Junts and ERC who demand amnesty for their accused leaders.
