Formula 1 Races Now Streaming on Apple TV in 2026

Formula 1 fans in the United States are gearing up for a significant change in how they access race coverage. Starting in 2026, all Formula 1 races will be exclusively available through Apple TV , marking a five-year partnership between the racing league and the tech giant. This shift means the end of ESPN’s long-standing broadcast of Formula 1 in the US.

Apple TV Prepares for the 2026 Season

In anticipation of the 2026 season, Apple has already integrated a dedicated Formula 1 section within the Apple TV app . This new section, titled ‘Get Ready for Formula 1 on Apple TV,’ features a variety of content designed to engage fans before the first Grand Prix in March. Content currently available includes livery reveals, explanations of the 2026 F1 rule changes, the Grand Prix schedule, Sprint Schedule, F1 Academy Schedule, a review of the 2025 season, and highlights from the 2025 Abu Dhabi Championship Decider .

The Formula 1 section is prominently displayed in the sidebar of the Apple TV app on devices like iPads and Macs, alongside the Major League Soccer tab. IPhone users will discover the section advertised in the Home or Search tabs. Notably, this Formula 1 tab cannot be edited, moved, or deleted, ensuring its visibility for all Apple TV users running iOS 26 or later .

What’s Included with an Apple TV Subscription?

For Apple TV subscribers, access to all 24 Grands Prix and six Sprints, along with every Free Practice and Qualifying session, is included at no extra cost . The offering encompasses the full F1TV feed, complete with commentary, analysis, and exclusive interviews from the F1TV team, featuring commentators like Alex Jacques, Jolyon Palmer, Ruth Buscombe, and James Hinchcliffe .

Apple TV is available for $12.99 per month, or as part of the Apple One bundle . Even without a subscription, viewers can access Friday and Saturday Free Practices, as well as select races, through Apple TV with an Apple account .

New Viewing Features

Apple’s coverage promises innovative features for fans, including multiview onboard cameras . An advert released in December 2025 showcased these multiview options, alongside a preview of the live leaderboard interface on mobile phones .

The partnership between Formula 1 and Apple builds upon their previous collaboration on the Apple Original Film, “F1 The Movie,” starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris . F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali stated that the partnership will “ensure we can continue to maximise our growth potential in the US with the right content and innovative distribution channels” .
