Formula 1 exhilarated fans in South Korea this past Sunday as the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team hosted a captivating event at the AMG Speedway in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do. This marked the first time in twelve years that formula 1 action has been witnessed on Korean soil, igniting a renewed passion for the sport amongst local enthusiasts.

Approximately 25,000 spectators attended the “Peaches Run Universe 2025” event, eagerly anticipating the return of the high-octane motorsport. The highlight of the day was a dynamic demonstration run by Mercedes’ third driver, Valtteri Bottas, piloting the team’s 2022 W13 Formula 1 car.

Bottas, a seasoned veteran with ten Grand Prix victories, skillfully navigated the 4.5km circuit, showcasing the power and precision of Formula 1 engineering. He concluded his run with a series of extraordinary doughnuts, much to the delight of the keen crowd. Beyond the on-track action, attendees were afforded an immersive experience into the world of Formula 1, with access to team simulators and displays featuring authentic racing memorabilia, including helmets and race suits previously used by drivers.
