The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) Disciplinary Council (DC) has partially dismissed a complaint filed by FC Porto against Luis Suárez, following incidents during a Portuguese Cup semi-final match against Sporting CP. The complaint centered on alleged aggressive actions towards Porto’s Jan Bednarek.

Incident Details

The initial incident occurred in the 25th minute of the match on March 4, 2026, leaving Bednarek with significant physical complaints and ultimately leading to his substitution OneFootball. A further altercation took place before halftime, involving Suárez and Sporting teammate Diogo Costa.

Complaint and DC Ruling

Still, the DC decided to “partially archive” the complaint, stating that the incidents were already evaluated by the match officials.
