Samsung Brings AI Super Slow-Mo to Select Galaxy A Series Phones
Samsung is expanding access to its advanced features, making premium capabilities available on a wider range of devices. The latest development brings the AI Super Slow-Mo function – previously exclusive to flagship Galaxy S series phones – to select models within the Galaxy A series. Specifically, owners of the Galaxy A36, A54, A55, and A56 can now create dramatic slow-motion effects in their videos without needing specialized recording settings.
This feature, originally part of the Galaxy AI suite found on high-end devices, is being rolled out to mid-range phones via the Galaxy Enhance-X application. However, Galaxy A56 users will find the functionality integrated directly into their phone’s Gallery app.
How AI Super Slow-Mo Works
The process is remarkably simple and intuitive. While playing a video, users can simply press and hold their finger on the screen at the precise moment they wish to slow down. Releasing the finger instantly returns the video to its normal playback speed. This allows for the creation of impactful slow-motion highlights without requiring users to film in slow-motion mode from the start.
the technology leverages artificial intelligence to generate additional frames, ensuring a fluid and natural slow-motion effect. This avoids the choppy, unnatural appearance often seen when simply slowing down a standard video.
Users can create up to three slow-motion clips from a single video, each saved as a separate file in the Gallery. This is perfect for emphasizing key moments in sports footage, capturing emotional highlights, or creating engaging content for social media.
Enhance-X: Unlocking AI Features for the Mid-Range
While samsung’s flagship phones receive the full Galaxy AI experience natively, mid-range devices gain access to select AI features through Galaxy Enhance-X. This application serves as a hub for AI-powered photo and video enhancements on devices without complete Galaxy AI support.
Beyond Super Slow-Mo, Galaxy Enhance-X offers a variety of other tools, including blur removal, reflection elimination, and night frame enhancement.
The application update to version 15.2.17, which introduces the Super Slow-Mo function, is currently available for download from the Galaxy Store. If you own a compatible Galaxy A series device (A36, A54, or A55) and haven’t yet received the feature, ensure your Galaxy Enhance-X app is updated to the latest version.
