Godoy Cruz Expands Digital Skills Training for Teens with Free Workshops

Godoy Cruz is bolstering its commitment to youth development with a new series of free, in-person workshops at the Casa del Futuro. Pre-registration is now open for courses designed to equip teenagers aged 12 to 17 with essential digital skills for the future. The workshops will begin on Wednesday, March 18, and will run for three months.

Casa del Futuro: A Hub for Digital Literacy

The Casa del Futuro, located at Sarmiento 2291, serves as a non-formal education institution offering free training, workshops, and talks focused on digital skills. The space aims to provide young people with the tools they require to succeed in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. Workshop Offerings

The upcoming workshops cover a diverse range of topics, all taking place on Wednesdays in the late afternoon. Spaces are limited, and registration confirmation will be sent via email based on availability.

• Introduction to Video Game Development (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM): This course will guide participants through the process of designing, programming, and creating their own video games from scratch, covering basic programming, level design, character creation, and game mechanics.
• Python Programming for Teenagers (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM): An introductory course to the world of Python programming, one of the most widely used languages today. Students will solve challenges, automate tasks, and develop real-world projects.
• Digital Animation Course (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM): Using accessible software, participants will learn the fundamentals of traditional animation applied to the digital environment, creating their own characters and short animated stories.
• Digital Drawing and Illustration (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM): This training is designed for beginners in digital illustration, teaching students to use digital tools to create characters and visual narratives, building a digital portfolio.
• Create and Connect: Your Brand, Your Networks, Your Ideas (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM): A practical course focusing on Instagram and basic TikTok concepts, covering storytelling, personal branding, and content creation. Participants will collaboratively launch a fictitious brand.
• Your First Strategy: Introduction to Marketing (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM): This workshop explores the fundamentals of marketing and its application to personal ideas, covering target audiences, communication, and campaign analysis.
• Digital Photography (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM): An intensive, practical course covering the essential fundamentals of photography and developing a unique perspective for visual storytelling.
• Audiovisual Production: From Idea to Video (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM): Participants will learn to create a short film from scratch, covering scriptwriting, filming planning, audio and video recording, and editing.
