Gorillaz’s ‘House of Kong’ Exhibition Sets New York Dates, Tickets Go On Sale June 30
Gorillaz have confirmed the “House of Kong” exhibition will head to New York City from September 1 to September 28 at the Agger Fish Building in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The immersive experience, which first launched in London last year, offers fans an exploration of the group’s 25-year history, including artwork, music, and the mythology of their fictional Kong Studios universe.
Tickets for the New York run go on general sale at 10 a.m. local time on June 30, with prices starting at $50. Fans who purchased a Kong Card by June 25 will gain presale access beginning June 29. The exhibition follows the London debut at the Copper Box Arena, which coincided with Gorillaz’ 25th-anniversary celebrations and included live performances of their self-titled debut, “Demon Days” and “Plastic Beach.”
‘The Mountain’ Album and Stadium Debut Fuel Excitement
The “House of Kong” New York run occurs just days before Gorillaz’ September 29 performance at Madison Square Garden. Gorillaz recently played their first ever stadium gig at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The event featured guest appearances by Johnny Marr, Little Simz, Shaun Ryder, Yasiin Bey, Black Thought and Gruff Rhys, and was filmed for a potential documentary.
The tour follows the release of “The Mountain,” the band’s ninth studio album, which was released earlier this year through their own KONG label. The record, praised by NME as “arguably their most rich and complete since ‘Plastic Beach’,” includes collaborations with Sparks, IDLES, and Omar Souleyman, as well as posthumous contributions from collaborators including Bobby Womack, Dennis Hopper, Tony Allen, Proof and Mark E Smith.
Exhibition Details and Fan Access
The “House of Kong” experience spans an hour, guiding attendees through the band’s fictional narrative and creative process. The London iteration included a “mystery show” where Gorillaz debuted new material, later revealed as “The Mountain.”
The exhibition’s New York run underscores Gorillaz’ global reach, following plans to perform in India for the first time in January 2027.

Why It Matters: A Milestone for Gorillaz’ Legacy
The “House of Kong” exhibition represents a step in Gorillaz’ strategy to deepen fan engagement.
For fans, the exhibition provides a behind-the-scenes look at the creative processes, while the upcoming Madison Square Garden show follows the New York run of ‘House of Kong’.
