Gypsy Crusader Retires After Controversial Boxing Debut Win

Controversial streamer Gypsy Crusader, also known as Paul Miller, has announced his retirement from boxing following a split decision victory in his debut fight against battle rapper Supah Hot Fire on Saturday night. Miller, previously a kickboxer and Muay Thai fighter, indicated the fight may be his “last rodeo,” citing age and other commitments.

From Kickboxing to Streaming and Back to the Ring

Before gaining notoriety as an online streamer, Paul Miller competed in Muay Thai and kickboxing, even claiming victories in local tournaments. However, his behavior online led to him being ostracized from many gyms, forcing him to assemble a makeshift training camp for his boxing debut. The fight, co-main event of Adin Ross’s Brand Risk Promotions 13, drew a live audience of over half a million viewers.

A Controversial Split Decision

The bout against Supah Hot Fire, a battle rapper with prior Brand Risk fighting experience, was a closely contested three-round affair. Despite visibly tiring towards the end of the first round, Miller secured the win via a split decision, with two judges scoring the fight 29-28 in his favor. The decision sparked immediate backlash from commentators and viewers, with many questioning the judges’ scoring.

“Time to Move On”

Speaking with Fred Talks Fighting, Miller explained his decision to retire. “I think this might be my last rodeo, I’m too old and I have other things I need to do, other things that require my attention. I got the win here, I’m happy with my performance and it’s time to move on to other things… That was the last hurrah for me.” He acknowledged Supah Hot Fire’s toughness but maintained he landed the cleaner shots and that his experience ultimately carried him through. Miller also noted that both fighters were fatigued by the third round and were using large gloves.
