HDR10+ Advanced Debuts on Samsung Smart TVs, delivering Brighter displays
Technology company Samsung announced the High Dynamic range format (HDR) the company’s latest iteration, called HDR10+ Advanced.
HDR10+ Advanced is intended for samsung’s latest generation premium class TVs.In general, HDR technology allows TVs to display a wider range of dark and light tones, helping users see more detail in the brightest and darkest areas.
HDR10+ Advanced offers better color range control as well as higher accuracy. This format is also designed to improve the visuals of games streamed to TV.
This format also supports more zones for stable color mapping, content genre-based image and color processing options, options for smoothing scene movement, and optimization for cloud gaming streaming.

In total, there are six feature improvements brought by HDR10+ Advanced. Details of the features are as follows.
HDR10+ Bright
HDR10+ Bright, the main improvement in HDR10+ Advanced, offers expanded metadata with artificial intelligence (AI)-based color processing to improve brightness, color volume and contrast accuracy.
This feature is optimized for screens capable of achieving brightness between 4,000 nits to 5,000 nits, and supports the BT.2020 color gamut.
