Many people are planning trips to Japan before the year ends. With Japanese flu circulating, everyone wants to no when the peak will pass. dr. Lin Shibi, an infectious disease physician at National Taiwan University Hospital, says cases have slightly decreased to 44.99 per institution, but the flu is still spreading. It’s too early to say if this marks a turning point, and we may need a couple more weeks to see a clearer trend.
According to a post on the “Japanese self-guided tour poisoner” Facebook page, a report from the National Health Crisis Management Research Institute shows that, in the week ending November 30, over 3,000 medical institutions across Japan reported 173,380 influenza patients. That’s about a 10% decrease from the previous week. The average number of patients reported per medical institution dropped from 51.12 to 44.99.
