The Ministry of Forestry has announced the continuation of climbing route closures on five prominent peaks due to the ongoing extreme weather conditions during the rainy season. This decision prioritizes the safety of adventurers amidst the unpredictable elements.

Climbing routes on Mount Gede Pangrango, Mount Halimun Salak, Mount Merapi, Mount Merbabu, and Mount Rinjani, all managed by the Ministry of Forestry, are currently inaccessible. This follows warnings regarding hiking within a 3.5 km radius of the summit, restricting access only up to Ranu Kumbolo.
