Grammy-Nominated Producer Metro Boomin Accused of Rape and Pregnancy

In a bombshell lawsuit filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Vanessa LeMaistre, 38, accuses Grammy-nominated producer Metro Boomin, whose real name is Leland Wayne, of rape and causing her pregnancy in 2016.

The Allegations

LeMaistre alleges that she befriended Wayne following the tragic loss of her nine-month-old son. During a visit to his California recording studio, she claims she was drugged with alcohol and Xanax, blacked out, and woke up to find Wayne raping her. The lawsuit further states that she awoke to him performing oral sex on her.

LeMaistre asserts that she was unable to consent at any point during the alleged assault. She subsequently learned she was pregnant and claims there was no doubt that Wayne was the father. The lawsuit states she had an abortion shortly after.

Metro Boomin’s Response

Wayne’s legal team vehemently denies the allegations, labeling the lawsuit a “pure shakedown” and “false accusations.” Lawrence Hinkle II, Wayne’s attorney, stated in a Wednesday statement: “These are false accusations. Mr. Wayne refused to pay her months ago, and he refuses to pay her now. Mr. Wayne will defend himself in court. He will file a claim for malicious prosecution once he prevails.”

Metro Boomin is a highly successful record producer with a star-studded clientele that includes Future, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, and A$AP Rocky. The Associated Press generally withholds the names of individuals who allege sexual abuse unless they choose to speak publicly. LeMaistre, identified in the lawsuit, consented to her name being released through her attorneys.
