Historic Rehabilitation Workshop Set for Carroll County

Carroll County residents interested in preserving and restoring historic properties are invited to a free workshop on Wednesday, March 25, at the Carroll County Fiscal Courtroom in Carrollton. The workshop will begin at 7 p.m. And is hosted in connection with the Kentucky Heritage Council.

Workshop Details

The workshop will feature Katie Wilborn, the Kentucky Heritage Council’s Site Development Program Administrator for Preservation Easements & Tax Credits. She will provide information on preserving and rehabilitating historic properties, available resources, and how restoration efforts can benefit the community while protecting local heritage.

Tax Credit Information

A key focus of the workshop will be how to qualify for and utilize refundable tax credits to help fund the repair of historic homes and buildings. This offers a financial incentive for property and business owners to invest in the preservation of Carroll County’s historic structures.

Who Should Attend?

The event is open to all interested individuals, including property owners, business owners, and anyone interested in the future of Carroll County. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about historic preservation and get involved in local efforts.
