Such as, modern cloud storage services like Dropbox or Google Drive provide version history and recovery options, allowing users to easily undo accidental deletions.However, the focus is shifting. The handling of increasingly refined AI is paramount. Blindly accepting AI recommendations is a significant risk. Current estimates suggest that flawed AI-driven decisions could cost businesses upwards of $3.5 trillion annually by 2024 (according to a recent Gartner report).

Our research, conducted at the “III.Lab” with a focus on intelligence, interface, and innovation, questions the prevailing paradigm of AI interaction.Must AI always manifest as chatbots? This approach often feels impersonal and outdated.We’re exploring ways to seamlessly integrate technology into daily life through more intuitive and ‘vulnerable’ interfaces – designs that acknowledge and accommodate human fallibility. This involves investigating novel interaction models beyond conversational AI.

A common pitfall in technological development is remaining tethered to existing knowledge.Artistic intelligence,however,offers a more compelling model for innovation.While artificial intelligence excels at refining and replicating existing patterns, artists consistently push boundaries and explore the seemingly impossible.They are adept at exploiting the full potential of new technologies, often venturing into areas that engineers might deem impractical. Consider generative art platforms like Midjourney or DALL-E 2; they demonstrate the capacity to produce novel imagery, but their output is fundamentally based on patterns learned from existing datasets.Artists, conversely, can conceive of entirely new aesthetic concepts.

We actively observe these artistic explorations, analyzing their methods and translating them into scientifically rigorous research. This cross-disciplinary approach allows us to identify and leverage innovative thinking patterns that might or else be overlooked.
