Tilburg house Closed After Tuesday Evening Shooting
Mayor Onno hoes of Tilburg has ordered the closure of a house on Corellistraat for two weeks following a shooting that occurred on Tuesday evening. The decision aims to restore public order in the affected area.
“Tuesday’s shooting has had a notable impact on local residents,” Hoes stated. “They are angry,anxious or worried and I entirely understand that. I am also very concerned. That is why I will be talking to residents and professionals on monday afternoon about the events and what is needed to improve safety in the neighborhood.”
The shooting took place around 6 p.m. in a busy residential area,leading police to believe innocent bystanders could have been hit. Following the incident, officers discovered shell casings and a trail of blood in the street.
Two men, aged 22 and 30, later presented themselves at the hospital with injuries and have been arrested. Police suspect they where involved in the shooting and believe it was a targeted action.
