A Fortuitous Seat Change
Balmaceda, who was flying to San Francisco for work with a clothing brand, was enjoying a window seat in business class – a rare upgrade from their usual economy travel. Shortly after settling in, a woman politely asked if Balmaceda would be willing to switch seats so she could sit next to her husband. Agreeing to the request, Balmaceda moved to row 10, only to discover the husband was none other than Keegan-Michael Key.
An Unexpected Travel Companion
Balmaceda expressed being a long-time fan of Key, making the seat exchange even more special. Key’s wife explained she had intended to book seats together but hadn’t been successful. Throughout the flight, Balmaceda observed Key’s graciousness, noting that he readily took photos with fans and engaged with fellow passengers, offering assistance to his wife when needed.
