Ice Cube’s ‘War of the Worlds’ Dominates 46th Razzie Awards
Ice Cube’s sci-fi adaptation, War of the Worlds, was the big “winner” at the 46th Annual Razzie Awards, taking home five Golden Raspberry Awards. The awards, which recognize the worst in film, were presented on March 13, 2026, acknowledging films released in 2025.
Key Wins for ‘War of the Worlds’
The film secured wins in the following categories: Worst Picture, Worst Actor (Ice Cube), Worst Director (Rich Lee), Worst Screenplay (Kenny Golde and Marc Hyman) and Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel. The Razzies described the film as a “cult hate-watch classic” , noting its destruction of H.G. Wells’ original novel and Ice Cube’s performance.
Other Razzie Award Recipients
Rebel Wilson was named Worst Actress for her role in Bride Hard. The seven dwarfs from Disney’s live-action Snow White shared the awards for Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Combo. Scarlet Rose Stallone won Worst Supporting Actress for her performance in Gunslingers.
