Jakarta – The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) has voiced its support for the Indonesian government’s decision to postpone the deployment of Indonesian Military (TNI) personnel to Gaza, Palestine. The decision comes amid escalating conflict and concerns for the safety of potential peacekeepers and the sovereignty of other nations.

Ahmad Heryawan, a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) from PKS, stated that the postponement is a “wise step” given the current volatile situation in Gaza. He emphasized that Indonesia’s involvement in peacekeeping missions should align with its principle of active non-alignment, prioritizing negotiations through the United Nations (UN) as the most appropriate and internationally legitimate path forward.
