International Educational Dialogue Forum Focuses on Future of Global Learning in Yaroslavl
Yaroslavl, Russia – The 15th International Forum “Educational Dialogue” convened in Yaroslavl on March 18-19, 2026, bringing together educators and specialists from Russia and several other countries to discuss the development of the international educational space.1

The forum opened with remarks from Russian Minister of Education, Sergei Kravtsov, who highlighted the importance of educating the younger generation with a focus on morality and civic responsibility.1 He emphasized the forum’s role as a recognized international platform for discussing critical issues in education and international cooperation.
Mikhail Gruzdev, Rector of Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushinsky, underscored the increasing multipolarity of the world and the need to define the future of the international educational space.1 Gruzdev stressed the importance of shared values – understanding of great and evil, respect for history and responsibility for the future – as the foundation for building a common future.
The plenary session featured prominent figures in Russian education, including Olga Vasilyeva, President of the Russian Academy of Education (RAE). Viktor Basyuk, Vice-President of the RAE; and Tatyana Vasilyeva, Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation.1

This year’s forum, dedicated to the theme “International educational space: designing the contours of our common future,” drew approximately 500 participants.1 Attendees represented Russia, Armenia, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.1

Recent Developments in Yaroslavl Education
The forum takes place amid ongoing restructuring within the Yaroslavl Region’s education system. Recent mergers have consolidated children’s centers, boarding schools, and development institutes to streamline operations and expand educational programs.1 Specifically, the Center for Children and Youth, the Center for Children and Youth Technical Creativity, and the Center for Children and Youth Tourism and Excursions have been merged into a single Center for Children and Youth of Yaroslavl.1 The Center for Assistance to Children and the Center for Career Guidance and Psychological Support “Resource” are too being consolidated.1
the Yaroslavl region has seen investment in educational initiatives, with 33 million rubles recently allocated to educational services, including 9 million for paid educational services and 24 million for other education-related services.2 The Regional Innovation and Education Center “New School” in Yaroslavl is also contributing to the modernization of the Russian educational system through early diagnosis of gifted children and the implementation of new educational technologies.3
