Angelina Jolie’s brother, James Haven, secretly married Romi Imbelli in the summer of 2024 amidst the highly publicized divorce of his sister, Angelina Jolie, from Brad Pitt.
The wedding ceremony, a private affair attended by close family members including their father, Jon Voight, took place on August 12th in Laguna Beach, California, as reported by Just Jared.
Although Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt finalized their divorce on December 30th, 2024, the actress was absent from her brother’s wedding.
Romi Imbelli took to Instagram to reflect on her special day, sharing glimpses of their intimate ceremony.
“In 2024, I married my best friend of 23 years,” she wrote. “The details of our story are too personal and complicated to share now, but I am writing it all in my book.”
Imbelli continued, “Our wedding day was intimate, just us and our parents while exchanging vows, with plans to have a larger celebration later. After 5 months of much crying, healing, and reflection, we decided to work through our issues and are now planning a special day with my daughter.”
Back in January 2024, Haven made a rare statement during an episode of the 90who10 podcast, expressing his commitment to protecting his sister’s six children during the ongoing divorce battle.
