Janice Combs – the 84-year-old mother of embattled hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs – is pushing back hard against fresh legal claims tying her to her son’s decades-old business dealings.
Now going by the name Janice Smalls, she has filed a motion asking a judge to dismiss former Bad Boy Entertainment executive Kirk Burrowes’ lawsuit, which accuses her of helping Diddy forcibly obtain Burrowes’ 25% ownership stake in the label back in 1996.
According to AllHipHop Smalls insists she had no involvement whatsoever in the alleged incident or in the negotiations surrounding burrowes’ stake in Bad Boy.
The lawsuit also names Diddy’s longtime attorney Kenneth Meiselas as a co-defendant. Smalls’ filing notes that she hasn’t resided in New York as 2012 and has been residing in florida, distancing herself geographically and personally from the claims.
Diddy’s Homes Raided By Homeland Security Investigations
Federal agents raided the Los Angeles and Miami homes of Sean “Diddy” Combs on Monday, November 25th. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) confirmed the operations, but details remain scarce. Its a significant progress in ongoing investigations surrounding the music mogul.

Sources indicate the raids are connected to a federal examination into sex trafficking allegations. These allegations surfaced earlier this month when music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones filed a lawsuit against Combs, accusing him of orchestrating a pattern of sexual abuse and exploitation.Combs has vehemently denied these claims.
HSI, a branch of the Department of Homeland Security, investigates a wide range of crimes, including human trafficking. While officials haven’t explicitly stated the focus of the raids, the timing and nature of the operation strongly suggest a link to the accusations against Combs.
Footage circulating on social media shows armed agents at Combs’s properties in both cities. Law enforcement officials have not yet commented on whether any arrests were made or evidence was seized during the searches.
This isn’t the first legal trouble for Diddy recently. He’s also facing a separate lawsuit from ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura, the mother of his daughter Chance Combs, alleging years of abuse. These legal battles are unfolding as Combs attempts to maintain control of his vast business empire, including his record label, Bad Boy Entertainment, and his Cîroc vodka brand.
The investigation is ongoing, and more information is expected to emerge in the coming days. We will continue to update this story as it develops.
