Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie to Star in Netflix Actioner Dogfight

Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie Reunite for Netflix Film Dogfight

stylish revenge actioner set in the London criminal underworld, Netflix announced when detailing Dogfight, the upcoming feature film starring Jason Statham and written, directed, and produced by Guy Ritchie.

Production on the project is scheduled to begin in early 2027 with filming taking place in the UK, Deadline reported. The feature marks the seventh film collaboration between the director and the action star. Their previous work together includes Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Revolver, Wrath of Man, and Operation Fortune: Rose de Guerre, according to Variety.

Companies backing the feature film

Black Bear, Toff Guy Films, and Punch Palace serve as the production companies behind the feature. Ritchie and Statham produce alongside Ivan Atkinson for Toff Guy Films and John Friedberg for Black Bear.

Variety reported that Black Bear Pictures has backed most of Ritchie’s recent titles, including In the Grey and Wife & Dog. Dogfight adds to a professional partnership that began when Ritchie cast Statham in his 1998 directorial debut, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

Production timeline set for early 2027

Netflix holds the streaming rights for the feature and set the production start for early 2027 in the United Kingdom. Plot details remain strictly under wraps.

While Dogfight moves toward its 2027 production start, the duo’s earlier collaboration Viva La Madness wrapped principal photography earlier this year. Developed by Statham for Punch Palace Productions and Thomas Benski for Lumina Studios, Viva La Madness is based on J.J. Connolly’s novel. Black Bear handles domestic distribution for that project, while Amazon MGM Studios holds rights in most international territories.
