Experience the Magic: San Roque’s Festival Offers a Spellbinding Weekend
San Roque is ready to enchant audiences this weekend with its highly anticipated Magic Fest, a celebration of the captivating world of illusion, mystification, and wonder. Kicking off with a captivating performance of "El Hipnotista 2" by renowned French hypnotist Jeff Toussaint, the festival promises a weekend filled with unforgettable experiences.
Toussaint, with his impressive two-decade career and television appearances including "El Hormiguero," took the Theater Juan Luis Galiardo by storm on Friday night. He enthralled the audience, showcasing his unique blend of comedy, illusion, and mind-bending feats. Over twenty volunteers bravely stepped onto the stage, becoming active participants in Toussaint’s mesmerizing world.
This vibrant event, orchestrated by San Roque’s Delegation of Culture, culminates this weekend with two captivating grand finales. Saturday evening welcomes the International Magic Gala, a spectacular performance featuring a dazzling lineup of acclaimed magicians. Javi Cruz and Anahí, champion magicians of Andalusia, will tantalize audiences with their extraordinary skills. Adding international flair are Merlin Award-winning Lucia Rivera from Cuba, known for her astounding quick-change illusions, and internationally acclaimed Mago Antonio, offering a unique blend of magic, poetry, and humor. Master of manipulation Nacho Ubéda will round out the evening with his astonishing cd-based artistry.
Sunday offers a delightful family-friendly matinee with "Zoo Mágico," a captivating showcase of dance, ventriloquism, and enchanting illusion, presented by the multi-award-winning Mago Áreson.
Tickets for the International Magic Gala are a mere €5 and available at the event platform or at the Theater Juan Luis Galiardo’s box office. All proceeds from “Zoo Mágico” will benefit the Association of Multiple Sclerosis in the Campo de Gibraltar (ADEM-CG).
