Joaquín Sabina loses his battle against the Treasury: he must pay 2.5 million

Joaquin Sabina has lost its battle against Hacienda. He supreme court has confirmed that the singer has to pay 2.5 million eurosa Hacienda when rejecting the appeal presented by the artist against the liquidation of the fiscal years of 2008, 2009 and 2010 in relation to the declaration of income from copyright and three companies.

Against this new decision of the Supremowhich corroborates that of the National Court, there is no appeal, so Sabina’s legal battle ends here.

According to the ruling, which is dated July 20, the contentious-administrative Chamber of the high court has rejected the appeal filed by the singer against the April 2022 ruling of the National Court, which confirmed that the liquidations they were legal.

Sabina had appealed the resolution of the Central Economic-Administrative Court (TEAC), of 2019, which in turn confirmed that of the Regional Economic-Administrative Court of Madrid, of 2017, on the claim filed by the singer for liquidation by personal income tax in those three exercises and against the sanction that was imposed.

Along with family members, Sabina was a partner and manager of three companies: Fine Groceries, Reporters and The Bread of My Girlswith which he managed his copyright, real estate in Madrid and Rota, a sailboat and old books, according to the inventory included in the sentence, dated April 13 and consulted by Europa Press.
