John Cena is the new Intercontinental Champion.

Cena was speaking to his hometown crowd in Boston on Raw when Dominik Mysterio interrupted him, claiming he could have defeated Cena in any era.Triple H,who started Raw by introducing Cena,didn’t appreciate those words and promptly scheduled a title match. Although Mysterio tried to cheat, similar to Eddie Guerrero, Cena withstood a frog splash, kicked out, and pinned Mysterio to win the Intercontinental title for the first time in his career.

Cena celebrated his title win after the match,with fireworks going off as he posed on the top rope.Backstage, most of the roster applauded him, including Rey Mysterio, who is currently feuding with his son.Cody Rhodes also offered his congratulations at the end of the line.
