Angelina Jolie Visited Ukraine Without Prior Notice to Government
American actress Angelina Jolie arrived in the Ukrainian cities of nikolaev and Kherson on Wednesday, October 5, with the Legacy of War Foundation, but did not notify the Ukrainian government of her visit in advance, according to a high-ranking Ukrainian official cited by Politico.
The publication reports Jolie crossed the border on foot, though the country from which she entered Ukraine remains unspecified.
According to a statement on the charity’s website, Jolie met with medical staff, local residents, and volunteers. “The residents of Nikolaev and Kherson live in danger every day,but they do not give up. At a time when governments around the world turn away from protecting civilians, their strength and mutual support evoke a feeling of deep respect. After almost four years of conflict, their fatigue is obvious, but so is their determination. Families wont safety, peace and the chance to rebuild their lives,” Jolie is quoted as saying.

A military medical commission assessment from June 2025 deems him fit for service in rear positions.
