Drug Courier for Ko Erwin Syndicate Arrested in Pekanbaru

Jakarta – Police have arrested Akhsan Al-Fadhil, also known as Genda, a courier for the drug syndicate led by Ko Erwin, in Pekanbaru, Riau province. The arrest is part of an ongoing investigation following Ko Erwin’s capture in Nusa Tenggara Barat.

Details of the Arrest

Genda was apprehended at a food stall in Pekanbaru on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 10:00 PM local time. Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim Polri), confirmed the arrest.

The investigation into Genda began after Ko Erwin confessed to not acting alone in his drug trafficking activities. Ko Erwin identified Genda as a key accomplice in distributing methamphetamine in the Bima region of West Nusa Tenggara.

Drug Distribution Network

According to police, Genda and Ko Erwin were involved in the distribution of 500 grams and 1 kilogram of methamphetamine sourced from an individual known as “Boss Aceh.” The drugs were intended for distribution in the Bima area.

The methamphetamine was transported from Jakarta to Bima by land using Ko Erwin’s black Toyota Raize. Upon arriving at the Marina Inn Hotel in Bima City, Genda took 500 grams of the methamphetamine to room 415 for re-weighing and storage.

Further Investigation

Authorities are continuing to investigate the network, with a focus on identifying and apprehending other individuals involved. Awan, another individual connected to the case, is currently being sought by police.

Evidence seized during the arrest includes 500 grams of methamphetamine, identification documents belonging to Genda and Ko Erwin, a Lotte Member card, a BPJS card, two cellphones, IDR 2,360,000 in cash, four boarding passes, three ATM cards, and a rental receipt.

Background

Ko Erwin was previously arrested as a drug dealer suspected of depositing IDR 2.8 billion to the former Bima City Police Chief, AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro. The investigation is ongoing to determine the full extent of the corruption and drug trafficking network.
