Kildimo-Pallaskenry and Newcastle West Draw in Senior Hurling Championship
Kildimo-Pallaskenry and Newcastle West drew 2-16 to 2-16 in round two of the Whitebox Limerick senior hurling championship on Friday evening. The game was played in Sean Finn Park,Rathkeale.
Both teams had periods where they played very well. Kildimo-Pallaskenry seemed likely to win after 50 minutes,leading 2-13 to 0-13. Though, Newcastle West finished strongly. They went ahead 2-16 to 2-14 in the 57th minute, but Kildimo-Pallaskenry scored two late points to tie the game.
Newcastle West played wiht 14 men for 43 minutes after Maurice Murphy received a red card. Despite this, they continued to fight. Kildimo-Pallaskenry also showed resilience, earning a draw even while playing shorthanded.
