Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s absence from Wednesday’s practice sparked confusion, with Coach John Harbaugh citing it as a “rest day” despite the Ravens’ official injury report listing him with back and knee injuries.

While Harbaugh emphasized Jackson’s stellar performance and the importance of managing his workload with a demanding schedule ahead, the discrepancy between his statement and the practice report raises questions. Notably, players designated for load management, even with minor ailments, are typically listed as having a rest day, which Jackson is not.

Adding to the intrigue, several other Ravens players missed Wednesday’s session. Defensive tackle Travis Jones (ankle), defensive end Brent Urban (concussion), running back Rasheen Ali (ankle), and cornerback Arthur Maulet (neck) were all absent.

However, there was positive news on the injury front. Cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey (knee) and Nate Wiggins (shoulder/illness) returned to practice, albeit with limited participation. Both players missed Sunday’s loss to the Buccaneers. Defensive tackle Broderick Washington (knee) was also limited.

Running back Keaton Mitchell, who recently opened his 21-day practice window following a knee injury, was a full participant after being limited last week.

The Ravens’ injury situation will continue to be closely monitored as they prepare for their upcoming game.

Stay tuned for updates on the team’s health and roster status.
