After demonstrating her ability to excel in all areas of the game, Atlanta’s Leah Edmond was selected as Major League Volleyball Player of the Week, a recognition presented by Franklin Sports.
The corner forward put in an outstanding performance in Vibe’s second consecutive victory, a 3-2 away win in Orlando.
The player from Lexington, Kentucky, recorded solid offensive efficiency, accompanied by a high percentage of winning shots, a powerful attack from the back and consistency in serving and receiving.
Statistically speaking, he recorded his fourth game of the season with at least 20 winners, finishing with 24 at the Addition Financial Arena.
Edmond added 27 points, the fifth time in 2026 that he surpassed the 20 barrier. He also contributed 12 defenses, two aces, a block and an assist, with an offensive efficiency of .447 and a 51% effectiveness in attack.
Edmond has reached double figures in points and shots in every game this season, in addition to registering double figures in defense in six of his eight appearances. In Atlanta’s two most recent victories he maintains an efficiency of .377.
This recognition represents the third weekly award of his career.
