Lenovo Focuses on Knowledge Sharing with Media, Hints at Post-Eid Product Launches
Jakarta, Indonesia – In a departure from traditional product launch events, Lenovo Indonesia hosted a knowledge-sharing session for media representatives on Friday, March 6, 2026, focusing on effective pitching strategies. The event, held in Jakarta, prioritized building relationships and providing valuable insights over aggressive product promotion.
Shifting Focus to Education and Engagement
Instead of unveiling new devices, Lenovo invited Founder of T&DON, Fendy Alwi, to lead an interactive workshop on crafting compelling proposals. This approach reflects a deliberate strategy to connect with the creative community and journalists in a more meaningful way, according to Agnasta Parwanto, Consumer Marketing Lead at Lenovo Indonesia.
“Thank you for taking the time to attend. This time it is not a product launch event, but rather a knowledge sharing session about how to make good presentations,” Agnasta stated during the event.
Commitment to Indonesian Education
Liana Angella, Commercial Marketing Lead at Lenovo Indonesia, highlighted the company’s current focus on supporting education within Indonesia. This commitment is demonstrated through the development of devices that meet the requirements for Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri (TKDN), or Local Content Level, a government initiative promoting domestic manufacturing and technological development.
Future Product Announcements Anticipated
While the event wasn’t centered on new product reveals, Agnasta hinted at upcoming announcements. Lenovo plans to introduce “captivating product surprises” to the Indonesian market following the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
