Lenovo Legion Go Fold: A Foldable Gaming Handheld That Doubles as a Laptop

Lenovo unveiled a concept for a foldable gaming handheld, the Legion Go Fold, at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026. The device aims to bridge the gap between portable gaming consoles and ultra-mobile PCs, offering a versatile experience for gamers and professionals alike.

Versatile Design and Form Factors

The Legion Go Fold features a flexible 8-inch pOLED display with a hinge that allows it to transform into different form factors. It can be used as a compact 7.7-inch handheld, an expansive 11.6-inch tablet, or a mini-laptop when paired with a detachable wireless keyboard [KitGuru]. The device supports multiple modes:

  • Handheld Mode: A traditional handheld gaming experience with the screen folded.
  • Horizon Full-Screen Mode: The display unfolds for a larger viewing area.
  • Split-Screen Mode: The screen unfolds vertically, dividing it into two sections for multitasking, such as gaming on one side and streaming on the other [Android Authority].
  • Desktop Mode: Transforms into a clamshell-style laptop with the attached keyboard.

The detachable controllers can be used in landscape and portrait orientations, and the right-side controller functions as a vertical mouse with a built-in display for performance metrics and settings [The Verge].

Hardware Specifications

The Legion Go Fold is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V “Lunar Lake” processor and includes 32GB of RAM [The Verge]. It features a 48 Wh battery [KitGuru]. Lenovo has indicated that the hardware is still subject to change as it remains a concept device.

Availability and Pricing

Currently, the Legion Go Fold is a concept device, and Lenovo has not announced a specific release date or price. However, it is expected to be more expensive than the standard Legion Go 2, which starts at $1,099 [Mashable].

Other MWC 2026 Announcements

Alongside the Legion Go Fold, Lenovo similarly announced recent laptops, a rugged Android tablet, a portable monitor, and five additional concept devices at MWC 2026 [Mashable].
