ASHTAR Theatre: Palestinian Voices on Stage

Founded in 1991, ASHTAR Theatre is a leading Palestinian non-governmental organization dedicated to using theatre as a tool for social change, education, and artistic expression. History and Founding

ASHTAR Theatre was established in Jerusalem by Palestinian actors Iman Aoun and Edward Muallem. [1] Their collaboration began during their time at the El-Hakawati Theatre, formed in 1977.
