LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor Drops to 9 at Amazon

The 27-inch LG UltraGear OLED QHD Gaming Monitor (model 27GS93QE) is on sale for $499.99 at Amazon, down 44% from its standard $899.99 list price, Mashable reported. That $400 discount matches the lowest price ever tracked for the screen, which pairs a 2560×1440 resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms grey-to-grey response time, according to PC Guide.

Display Performance and Adaptive-Sync Support

Built for fast motion replication and immersive single-player titles, the panel features self-lit OLED pixels that deliver a 1.5 million-to-one contrast ratio and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. PC Guide noted that the monitor covers up to 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum and includes an anti-glare, low-reflection coating. To eliminate screen tearing, the hardware supports Nvidia G-Sync Compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The display also incorporates OLED Care functions intended to reduce the risk of permanent image retention from static desktop taskbars, application menus, or game HUDs.

Connectivity Options and Physical Adjustments

The monitor includes two HDMI 2.1 inputs and one DisplayPort 1.4 connection, allowing users to hit 240Hz speeds when plugged into a PC or modern game console. PC Guide pointed out that the HDMI 2.1 ports make the display compatible with variable refresh rate output on a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series console. The physical build features a slim-bezel frame alongside an adjustable stand that supports height, tilt, and pivot adjustments between landscape and vertical modes.

Unresolved Pricing Expiration and Stock Availability

Neither Amazon nor the retail trackers have specified an exact expiration date for the $499.99 promotional price, leaving open the question of how long the $400 discount will remain active before returning to the $899.99 list price.
