This historical landmark is being celebrated in style with a captivating photo exhibition titled "Skaistajai Liepājai – 400" (Beauté à Liepāja – 400), opening its doors on January 24, 2025, at the Liepāja Museum.
This immersive exhibition offers a visual journey through Liepāja’s past, showcasing over 80 carefully curated photographs spanning from the late 19th century to the end of Latvia’s first independence period. These images, meticulously enhanced and enlarged, offer a unique glimpse into the city’s evolution, capturing its architectural transformations, vibrant social life, and the spirit of its people.
Visitors can marvel at historical scenes and then compare them to their contemporary counterparts through the "Old Libau" app, highlighting the city’s remarkable transformation over the centuries.
