Leksand Faces Further Injury Setbacks with Véronneau and Eljas Updates

Leksand Hockey Club is grappling with a challenging period, compounded by recent injury news concerning key players Max Véronneau and Arvid Eljas. The team has struggled for form, losing seven of their last eight games and finding the back of the net only nine times in that span, and these injuries add further complications to their quest to regain momentum.

Véronneau, who was anticipated to be a important offensive contributor, continues to be sidelined with an injury. Initially projected to be out for four to five weeks, his return is now postponed, with expectations pointing towards another three to four weeks before he can resume full training. The forward expressed his frustration with the situation, stating to The Falu Courier, “It is always frustrating when you are injured and watching. You always want to be out there playing with the boys. I know we’ve had some problems now, but I think it’s just a bad period. of course I would like to be out there and help, but I think that when we find our confidence back, it will be all right.”

Véronneau emphasized his eagerness to return to the ice, but stressed the importance of a cautious approach to recovery. “Honestly, I wish I could come back as soon as possible. It’s so much more fun to play than to sit in the stands, but you have to go through all the steps and make sure you don’t get injured again or something. I want to be back as soon as I can,” he explained.

Adding to Leksand’s woes, Arvid Eljas is also currently unavailable due to injury. According to Johan Hedberg, as reported by Falu-Kuriren, both players are still “a couple of weeks away” from returning to action.

These setbacks represent a significant blow to Leksand as they strive to overcome their recent slump and improve their performance in the league. The team will need to rely on it’s remaining players and hope for swift recoveries for Véronneau and Eljas to turn their season around.
