Sundrelle Posts Strong Profit Growth Despite Revenue Dip
Dublin, Ireland – Sundrelle, one of Ireland’s leading pharmacy wholesale distributors, has reported a significant increase in profits for the year 2023, despite a slight dip in revenue.
According to the company’s latest financial report, Sundrelle recorded pre-tax profits of €3.63 million, a 30% jump from the €2.79 million achieved in 2022. While revenues decreased by 9% from €37.52 million to €34.07 million, operating profits remained healthy at €3.12 million.
A key factor driving the profit growth was a gain of €517,569 on financial assets.
Key Partnerships Fuel Growth
Sundrelle boasts a strong portfolio of renowned beauty brands, including the popular tanning range by influencer Ms. Carter, Cocoa Brown, and products from fashion blogger Ms. Jackson.
The strategic partnership with Ms. Jackson, through her company San Fran Ltd, has proven particularly fruitful. Sundrelle purchased €4.3 million worth of goods from San Fran in 2023, although this represents a slight decrease from the €5.2 million spent in the previous year.
Additionally, Sundrelle purchased €2.82 million worth of goods from Ms. Jackson’s Cohar Ltd in 2023, down from €3.32 million in 2022.
Directors’ Pay and Company Outlook
The four directors of Sundrelle – Fran O’Gorman, Elizabeth O’Gorman, Donal O’Gorman, and Thomas Nolan – shared a total pay of €4.139 million in 2023, a marginal decrease from the €4.149 million paid out in 2022.
The company also paid dividends of €313,333.
Despite the revenue dip, the directors expressed satisfaction with Sundrelle’s performance in 2023 and highlighted their commitment to continued growth in the coming year.
“The corporate strategy for the coming year is to increase stakeholder value through enhancing market share and developing the company’s customer base,” the directors stated in their report.
