The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (Aesan) has activated a food alert after detecting the “Listeria monocytogenes” bacterium in a batch of smoked salmon from the Joalpesca brand distributed in Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Catalonia and Murcia.
The authorities have not detailed for the moment if there is any person affected by the consumption of the contaminated product.
Specifically, it is the “Smoked salmon host C/PE”of Spanish origin, packaged in plates of 1 and 1.5 kilograms, with batch number E675C1528 3, barcode 2249134 011409 and expiration date of August 14, 2023, Aesan has detailed on its website this Friday. .
The initial distribution has been to these five autonomous regions, although it cannot be ruled out that there may be redistributions to other regions.
The Aesan has transferred the information to the competent authorities of the autonomous communities through the Coordinated System for Rapid Information Exchange (Sciri) in order to verify the withdrawal of the affected products from the marketing channels.
