Greater London Skills Competition 2026 Showcases Capital’s Vocational Talent
The Greater London Skills Competition 2026 is underway, bringing together over 300 learners from 15 colleges across London to compete in 14 technical skill areas. The competition, endorsed by WorldSkills UK and in partnership with the Association of Colleges, highlights the exceptional talent of London’s students in vocational disciplines.
Celebrating London’s Skilled Workforce
This year’s competition, part of Our Colleges Week, aims to build learners’ confidence, professionalism and resilience while inspiring the next generation to pursue technical and vocational pathways. The event is hosted across eight colleges, with 15 institutions participating overall .
Competition Highlights and Winning Students
Capital City College (CCC) students have already achieved success in the 2026 competition, securing wins in cyber security and culinary arts. They as well earned runner-up positions in engineering and beauty . The competition covers a wide range of skills, including construction, engineering, digital technologies, health, and creative arts .

The Greater London Skills Competition is supported by the Greater London Authority, which hosted the final awards ceremony on March 9th, 2026 . The competition underscores the importance of investing in skills training to ensure Londoners have the high-quality industry skills needed for good jobs.
