Long Beach Poly’s Jason Robinson Jr. Commits to USC

Teh trend lately among elite high school football recruits has been to collect scholarship offers, take as many recruiting visits as possible, and then wait until the very end of the recruiting process to announce their college decision. Long Beach Poly’s Jason Robinson jr. didn’t follow that script. He committed to USC on Thursday, becoming the Trojans’ ninth commitment in the 2025 class.

Robinson,a four-star athlete,is one of the most versatile players in the country. He’s listed as an athlete because he excels at multiple positions. He’s a dynamic receiver, a hard-hitting safety, and a hazardous return specialist. USC plans to use him as a receiver.

“I’m really excited about this,” Robinson said. “I’ve been talking to Coach Lincoln Riley and the staff for a while now, and I really like what they’re building at USC.I feel like I can come in and make an immediate impact.”

Robinson is the No. 7 athlete in the 247Sports Composite rankings. he had offers from several other top programs, including alabama, Georgia, and Oregon. But he said USC felt like the right fit for him.

“It’s close to home, which is importent to my family,” Robinson explained. “And I love the energy and the atmosphere at USC.It just feels like a place where I can thrive.”

Long Beach Poly coach Stephen Barbee praised Robinson’s work ethic and character. “Jason is a special player and an even better person,” Barbee said. “He’s a leader on and off the field, and he’s always willing to put in the extra work. USC is getting a great one.”

robinson’s commitment is a big boost for USC’s 2025 recruiting class.The Trojans are looking to build a championship-caliber program under Riley,and landing a player like Robinson is a significant step in that direction. he’s expected to be a key contributor for the Trojans for years to come.
