Chargers Could Trade Two players at the Deadline

The Los Angeles Chargers are 4-2 after six games. Usually, a team with this record wouldn’t think about trading players, but there are two obvious candidates the Chargers could trade before the NFL trade deadline.

The tight end position is changing, which could make Tyler Conklin or Will Dissly available for trade.

Rookie Oronde Gadsden has seen his playing time increase each week.In Week 6, he played a career-high 47 snaps, more than any other tight end on the team. You can see his game log here.

Gadsden also took advantage of his increased playing time, catching a career-high seven passes for 68 yards.

The chargers drafted Gadsden in the fifth round, and he’s quickly becoming a valuable part of the offense. This makes Conklin and dissly potential trade pieces for a team needing a tight end.

The other player who could be traded is linebacker Kenneth Murray. Murray has struggled with injuries throughout his career, and his play has been inconsistent. The Chargers have other linebackers who are playing well, such as Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack.

Murray is still young and has potential, so a team might be willing to take a chance on him. Trading Murray would free up playing time for other linebackers and could bring the Chargers valuable draft capital.
